Harry Durnall talk about Louche Theatre

Thank you Harry Durnall for talking to us at today's meeting about your life and Louche Theatre. It was a fascinating insight into your world and we all thoroughly enjoyed the workshop that followed.

  1. Message received from Norma Giddings.
I really enjoyed my first AFG meeting. Thanks to all especially Harry, the speaker. I have looked up the origin of the word "mummer and it is probably from the Early New High Roman word "mummer" meaning a disguised person. Mummers were also known as guisers. There is usually a mummers' play performed, free , at the Clun Green Man Festival which takes place on the late May Bank Holiday weekend and is well worth a visit. There is lots of street entertainment and free pub music sessions as well as a May Fair (entrance fee) and concerts (entrance fee) There should be details on their website soon. Kind Regards, Norma.
