20 May 2022 Football Club
Date for your diary: Alison Pierse, a creative who runs a business called aberdabbadoo, designing bespoke mosaics for the home and teacher in Higher Education will be visiting us on Friday 20th May at 9.45am. She will chat about her own work making mosaics, and the life long learning programme through Aberystwyth University. Also, talk about heritage walks in Aberystwyth, and possibly about her mum, WW2 her life in Borth. Sounds great to me! Hope you will come along! Look forward to seeing you. Aislinn x
There was a bit of buzz going on this morning in the footy
club with AFG members feeling ready to get out and about again. Our first trip will be on Friday 13th
May to Aberaeron. There is no meeting on
this day as the Football Club will be closed.
Aberaeron is easy to get to either by car or bus. There is no specific timetable but Margaret
and I agreed it would be a good idea to meet up at around 11 o’clock in
Ambassadors Upstairs Café which is situated in Alban Square, opposite the bus
stop. Look forward to see you. Ash xx

Now, with the prospect of
living with Covid19 being ever present, AFG Committee feel that maybe it is
time to get going again and work on our calendar of meetings, outings and
events. We have compiled a list of
places to visit as suggested by our members.
There are 19 so far, including Hereford Cathedral, but we need a vote on
which to visit first. We suggest you pop
into the footy club any Friday morning to let us know your preferences. Looking forward to seeing you and getting out
and about again. Best wishes, Aislinn
